TRYOUTS 2009 Spring/Summer Season

About us: This was our first season as a team. As a 1st year team, we chose to play at the American Division level and finished with a 7-3-2 league record with 42 goals for and 18 goals against. Two losses and 10 goals against us came in our first two games as a team, leaving only 8 goals scored against us for the remainder of the league season. Our 2 ties were incomplete games called for weather. We improved steadily over the season and are planning on moving up to the National level for 2009. Our tryouts will be geared to find a few new athletes that can help us compete at that level.
Cost for the 2009 outdoor season will be $75.00-registration plus $25.00-team shorts/socks for new players. Optional fees depending on participation - extra tournaments - $25.00 each and indoor league $25.00/session - Optional fees are estimates and will be determined once participation numbers are known. This is considerably less than the approximately $300.00 + uniform, indoor practice and indoor league fees that most area clubs/teams are charging for 2009.
Travel: April practices are held in East Green Bay. May, June, July practices are at Doty School in Allouez. League games are held during the week with possible travel to the Appleton and Oshkosh areas. Tournaments are usually 3 or 4 game weekend commitments. This season we scheduled one tournament in Green Bay and the team voted to play an additional tournament in Appleton. The current team has indicated that next season a 3rd tournament may be of interest to them but that will not be voted on until January.
To try out your birthday must be after July 31st, 1991 and you should be: 1) currently playing high school soccer 2) a high school athlete (other sport) currently playing select soccer who is looking for a different club/team experience more suited to multi-sport athletes*. 3) a high school athlete currently playing SAY/recreational soccer at a high level who is looking for a more competitive experience and wants to learn more about the game.

Because we promote competing in more than just soccer, we make accommodations as necessary for participation in those other sports.
